Risa has been with BMO Financial Group for almost 10 years. She is currently the Regional Director of Operations but has also served as an audit and compliance manager in addition to Risk & Controls for the organization. Prior to BMO, Risa worked for several years at both Ernst & Young and Raymond James. She has an MBA from Northerwestern’s Kellogg School, a BBA in Accounting and Finance and has worked as a CPA. Risa sits on the leadership board of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Metro Chicago
Risa Josias brings her extensive background in accounting and over 15 years of private-sector experience working in audit, risk, and compliance to help Brady Illinois organize and advance its goal of making positive change happen. Risa is a passionate and committed community volunteer and has previously been a mentor, Leadership Board member, and member of the Big Brother Big Sisters Board of Directors. Risa is excited to use her professional background to further the Brady Illinois mission as the Finance Lead for the Executive Committee.
Risa has lived in Chicago for almost 10 years and the traumatic impact that gun violence has across the city troubles her deeply and she is committed to play whatever part she can to help solve the problem. As a mother of two young children, she has been especially concerned with the gun violence epidemic and wants all children to be safe in their learning environments.
