Heather is an experienced attorney who has served as senior counsel for large global corporations and partnerships in the financial services industry. Heather specializes in insurance risk management for organizations that operate in highly regulated fields. Heather has served as general counsel for both global and local nonprofits, and has served as the board chairperson of a large human services agency based in Chicago.
Heather lost a member of her family to gun violence. Through her work with Brady, she hopes to prevent other families from experiencing gun violence. Due to Heather’s broad base of legal experience in highly regulated fields, she understands that government regulation touches every part of our lives. Heather does not understand why guns should be the only unregulated product accessible in our country. She believes that the government has an obligation to protect its citizens from dangerous products, and that gun manufacturers should be exposed to the same legal liability as all other product manufacturers.
