Alyssa is a biomedical engineer who is passionate about research, data management, and making a positive impact on her community. She has designed medical devices and managed teams for over 9 years, and has received a Masters in Business Administration, with a focus on data analytics and entrepreneurship. Alyssa is interested in using her data analysis skills to help direct Illinois policy on gun violence prevention and the public policies that help support those affected by gun violence.
Alyssa has coached multiple sports through Special Olympics and has worked with the intellectually disabled population for over 15 years. She also enjoys playing piano and running (including as a running guide through United In Stride). She is very proud of her 8 years and counting match with her "little sister" through Big Brothers Big Sisters, and hopes her involvement with Brady Illinois will have a positive impact on kids like her "little sister".
